Yoga emerged from the meditations of ancient sages as, among other things, a way of keeping the body fit and free from disease, and the mind alert, focused and tranquil.
Pilates developed his method according to what he knew and his own instincts and experience.
This book uses both these disciplines to create a personal exercise style, a style that can be adapted and practised anywhere. Core sequences are designed for the reader to adjust to suit their body, and for every part of their life, whether they want to relax, be energized, ground themselves or improve their stamina.
There are over 75 poses, divided into standing and seated postures, with clear full-colour, step-by-step photographs to show how to achieve the correct posture.
