Cushions are the perfect way to dress a room, and give a strong sense of personal style as well as an essential comfort factor. Whether you want a cosy den piled high with soft cushions, classic bolsters to complement the interior design, or colourful, individual pieces to create focal points and textural accents, this practical book provides a cushion to create for every occasion.

There is a myriad of cushion styles to suit every kind of room and the 20 inspiring projects offer an impressive range of designs, shapes and ideas. Each one has clear step-by-step instructions and a stunning final picture. They can be followed exactly, or the materials and techniques adapted to suit your own interior scheme.

Cushions are the easiest item of soft furnishing to make, and the book includes a section on the essential sewing techniques, including making your own cushion pad, fitting a zipper, creating envelope and flap openings, and adding decorative cord or piping.

From a highly original collection, choose between a starkly monochrome Mitred Border Cushion to complement a contemporary scheme, a Patchwork Bolster for a country-style bedroom, a Seat Pad with Ties as a practical solution for a hard dining chair, or a Fringed Velvet Cushion for sumptuous living room luxury.

With 170 gorgeous photographs and clear step-by-step instructions, this accessible handbook offers reassuring technique as well as inspiration.
